The Loser

They say it’s a small world and I believe it’s true
‘Cause no matter where I go I can’t get away from you
You followed me to Tucson and down to San Anton’
I don’t mean to be cruel but I’d really rather be alone

He boy can’t you let me be I want to be alone, yes I want to be free
Hey boy don’t you get so down there’s lots of other girls in lots of other towns

I’m sick and tired of the way you whine and pout
Go home to your momma maybe she can help you out
And ask your papa to teach you just how to be a man
Just like a wooden nickel, Honey you ain’t worth a damn.

Hey boy can’t you let me be I want to be alone, yes I want to be free
Hey boy don’t you get so down there’s lots of other girls in lots of other towns

I know your trying but you haven’t got a prayer
Don’t tell me you’re dying darlin’ I don’t really care
If you were the very last man on this old planet earth
I’d rather spend my time with just any old bag of dirt

Hey boy can’t you let me be I want to be alone yes I want to be free
Hey boy don’t you get so down there’s lots of other girls in lots of other towns

I don’t understand why you’d want me anyhow
I ain’t going to love ya and you ought to know by now
Why don’t you buy yourself a pony go ride the open range
‘Till hell freezes over honey I ain’t gonna change

Just in case it ain’t clear let me spell it out for you dear
You drag your lazy butt, your ugly face, so far away from this ol’ place
That I won't see it for years. You’re a loser and you must go home
No please don’t phone, just get the hell away and leave me alone!
