The Heart Of The City

The heart of the city it never grows old
Just look at the buildings they grow and they grow
Though people may come and other people may go
The beat of the city goes on everyone knows
And night is when the city comes alive

The sound of the city when evening has come
The flash of the neon the music the fun
The cars and the traffic the crowd in the street
There’s plenty of places for people to meet
’Cause night is when the city comes alive

Bridge

The lights are so bright they shine their lights on the city tonight
Come dance in the street there’s people to meet here in the city tonight
No one's alone come take a chance and break free

Looking for action you know what I mean
Cruising the highways and causing a scene
The people around you may not know your name
But though they don’t know you they’ll love you the same
And night is when the city comes alive

Repeat bridge
