The Drunk

I came home from work and found my woman packing my suit case
So I asked.”What was the matter” and she said

“I can’t say just when I learned I don’t love you”
“And I can not remember just why, but still it’s true”
She said, “You always make me feel bad and you always make me blue”
“Whenever you’re around so are all the hard times too”

“If it’s not one thing then it’s the other”
“No matter what I do I can’t please you”
“We fight like cats and dogs and hit each other”
“Don’t deny it ‘ cause you know it’s true”

She said, “I don’t know why I stayed here but I know I have to leave”
It made me sort of crazy as I’m sure you can see
So friend do me a favor and put me out of my misery
I can’t take no more ‘cause my baby she is through with me

Chorus
Years of working hard was all for nothing
She took the house the car the children too
Now I sit here drinking one after another
“What on earth am I suppose to do?”

So pass me one more bottle ‘cause I don’t think I’m quite through
I’m drinking to forget her and I’m drinking ‘cause I’m blue
Don’t tell me that you’re closing though I know it must be true
Give me one for the road or I’ll never make it through.

Repeat Chorus

So pass me one more bottle ‘cause I don’t think I’m quite through
I’m drinking to forget her and I’m drinking ‘cause I’m blue
Don’t tell me that you’re closing though I know it must be true
Give me one for the road or I’ll never make it through.

Enjoyed. The title might be different though because he (you) didn't sound like a drunk but someone who desperately needed some crutch after a loved one left. Thanks for sharing.
